Surazuri was founded in Nairobi , Kenya in 1987 by Lyndsey McIntyre who remains its sole proprietor. It is the most recognized and respected agency in East Africa , with the longest history and highest number of registered talent in the region.

Surazuri is also the forerunner in the discovery and promotion of top models in the region. Surazuri models such as Ford Supermodel of the World Kenya winner Ajuma, as well as discoveries such as Polyne Obunga and Eva Ndachi, have taken the international modeling scene by storm and attest to the high caliber of models to be found in the region.
