• Africa needs to offer more opportunities to potential models (of all backgrounds) to work both locally and internationally.

• Kenyan models work as ambassadors for our country.

• Garner international exposure for top Kenyan fashion designers as well as the models.

• Promote Kenya as a tourist destination as well as a location for films and fashion shoots.

Credentials

• Lyndsey McIntyre has 20 years experience in the business of event organization and Model Scouting: 

• Is the owner and Managing Director of Surazuri Modeling and Casting Agency, registered in 1987 and recognized as East Africa’s top Model Agency. 

• Has been behind the discovery and promotion of International Kenyan models Khadija Adam, Eva Ndachi, Tess Njuhi, Polyne Obunga and Ajuma Nasanyana 

• Has Choreographed, done set design, and produced numerous fashion shows and events 

• Was the National Scout for ‘Face of Africa’ in 2000 and 2001 
  Fully produced, choreographed and directed 8 Smirnoff Fashion Awards from 1991 to 1998 

• Is the License holder and producer of Ford Supermodel of the World Kenya Search 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2007 

• Produced the ‘Wedding and Events Exhibition’ 2002 and co-produced the ‘Wedding and Events Exhibition’ 2004 

• Produced a celebrity calendar 2006 which raised half a million shillings for The Gender Violence Recovery Centre and the KSPCA 

• Her work has been featured on National Geographic ‘The Skin we’re in’, Voice of America, German ZDF television and Fashion TV, as well as in articles published in the New York Times, Herald Tribune, Sunday Observer (UK), Face Magazine (UK), The Strait Times (Asia), Globe and Mail (Canada), Gala Magazine (France), Daily Record (Scotland), Allegra Magazine (Germany), V Magazine (USA), The Independent (UK), Msafiri (inflight magazine of Kenya Airways) as well as many East African publications
